Prof. K. Turgay Akgül

I was born in Üsküdar in 1974.

I completed my high school education at Malatya Science High School and graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1998.

In the same year, I passed the Medical Specialization Examination and won the Urology Department of the Turkish Yüksek İhtisas Hospital and started my Urology residency. I became a Urologist in January 2003 and an Associate Professor of Urology in 2010. 

I have over 100 scientific articles, studies and papers published in international and national journals. There are 2 scientific books that I edited and also several book chapters that I wrote. I still work for the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards of different international and national journals.

I am a member of European Urology Association, Turkish Urology Association, Andrology Association and Continence Association.
